Dam Fest is a community event proudly presented by Warragamba Silverdale Neighbourhood Centre Inc.

The Dam Fest 2012 event will take place on Sunday 14 October 2012, 10.00am - 4.00pm, at Warragamba Recreation Reserve, Cnr Farnsworth Ave & Warradale Road, Warragamba.. 

Entry Fees

 Adult     $5

Child     $2

Helicopter flights will be $70 per person, with two helicopters running on the day.  The flight path will head south of the dam down the catchment, then turn and fly north along the western side of the catchment over the dam wall then head east just north of the dam. Helicopter flights cannot be pre-booked.

Priority allocation for local non profit community groups is available until 30 June 2011. Please submit a completed application (no payment currently required).

Applications are open for all other requests and will be allocated after 1 July 2011.

Sites are alloacted on a first in, first allocated basis.

CAR & BIKE SHOW 

The Dam Fest Car & Bike show has 10 categories for cars and 10 categories for bikes. Entrants can select unlimited categories for $25 per entry. All Car & Bike clubs welcome. If you are planning a club trip out on the day, please advise so adequate spaces can be allocated together. Registration now open.

Entry to Car & Bike show will be via the end of Farnsworth Ave, Warragamba. Payment of $25 registration will be required prior to parking your vehicle or bike in the show area.

BILLY CART RACES

Dam Fest will host the annual billy cart race. This year will feature 7 categories. $10 per entry. $20 prize for winner per category.

Categories are:- 6-8years, 9-11 years, 12-15 years, Open age, Ladies, Gents and new for this year Best Present Billy Cart. Please note that all racers must wear helmet, gloves & closed in shoes. All billy carts will be inspected for safety, prior to the race. All Billy Carts must enter Dam Fest by 9am via the pedestrian entrance off Warradale Road. Please note no vehicles will be able to enter site and as such all billy carts will need to be manually pushed to designated area.

Billy Cart races will commence at 11am.

 How to get to Warragamba

Warragamba Dam is located on the Warragamba River about 65 kilometres west of Sydney.

Public Transport

Take the train or drive to Penrith station. From Penrith station, catch the Westbus Route 795 bus to Warragamba Dam. Buses are available seven days a week with limited services on weekends.

Car

Warragamba Dam is an easy drive from Sydney, southern suburbs and Penrith.

Note: There is limited parking at Warragamba Dam Grounds. Some parking is also available in Warragamba Recreational Reserve.

If driving from Sydney:

• Take the Western Motorway (M4)
• Veer left onto the Northern Road
• Travel to Wallacia, and then Silverdale Road and Production Avenue to Warragamba Dam.

If driving from the southern suburbs and Campbelltown:

• Take the Northern Road
• Turn left onto Park Road, Luddenham
• Travel to Wallacia, and then Silverdale Road and Production Avenue to Warragamba Dam.

If driving from Penrith:

• Take Mulgoa Road and travel to Wallacia
• Then take Silverdale Road and Production Avenue to Warragamba Dam

LOCAL ROAD CLOSURES WILL BE IN PLACE SUNDAY OCT 16 -  8AM TO 5PM:

Please note that a high volume of traffic is expected and delays travelling to and from Warragamba may be experienced on the day.
